How to handle private sale of vehicle from a distance?
I currently live in Hawaii, although I am from Chicago. I have a vehicle which was left in Chicago. I left it with family and with a “for sale” sign on it. A co-worker (living here on the islands) saw pictures and wants it. He agreed to cover any shipping charges plus the sale price. I. personally, want no part of the shipping process. I have the title, but want to know when would be the proper time to make the title and money exchange? Shipping will take about 6 weeks.
By all means, take his money and give him the title tomorrow. Then let him deal with it!
