I am interested in purchasing a home in another country and need to know how to start the process.?
How do you find reliable sales information and who do you get for a real estate agent that you could trust? Also, do you think it is a good idea to actually visit the property or could you rely on pictures? I am interested in possibly buying in a central American country (other than Mexico); Italy; Perto Rico, Virgin Islands, or Guam. If you know of any safe and reliable sites and/or real estate sources I would be really grateful!
You can do what every one else does on here, ask the question and place it in the country you are interested in living in. You will need to really weed through the answers, but I’m sure you’ll get some that will be honest and reliable. Also talk with others you work with that may have knowledge of real estate in other countries.
