Honeymoon Question? Please help us choose the best?

My fiance and I won tickets to an all-inclusive resort. We did the thing where you listen to a sales pitch and get a prize. We can choose between a few different resorts in Mexico, the Bahamas and the Dominican Republic, and we ruled out Mexico … so we’d like to know, between DR and the Bahamas, which is best?
The resorts themselves look about the same, quality-wise, and we’ve been reading tripadvisor and other websites with people’s reviews. But as far as just the islands themselves, which would you prefer or recommend, and why?

Well, it really depends what you want, if it’s for the beach, the hotel, the city or what..
I’ve been to Cabarete about 5 times, so if you got any questions about that, just send me a message It’s a really nice place, yet for the honeymoon, maybe not, as it’s more of a ‘sport oriented’place. You don’t find the nice white sand and light blue ocean that you find in Punta-Cana, yet it’s a little village loved by anyone who goes there!.. What resort were you considering in Cabarete, I’ve been to a couple, so I could maybe help you out.??
